Summary

The new partial winding motor for an 8-cylinder motor compressors offers several advantages. Not only is the starting current decreased from 75 to 68% or even to 54%. This can be reached even without any unloading strategy. Therefore one component less will be necessary in a star delta motor or 2/3:1/3 partial winding motor. This simplifies the starting procedure.
