Summary
The paper reviews the performance indicators currently available in the United Kingdom. Data from monitored office buildings and the role and limitations of computer models for predicting performance are given. Actual building energy consumption will vary from year to year with varying weather conditions and building usage, operation and maintenance. The paper examines predicted energy consumption in the context of measured and yardstick performance.
