PERFORMANCE PREDICTION AND TEST RESULT OF A ROLLING PISTON TYPE COMPRESSOR.

Author(s) : LEE W.

Summary

THE PAPER DESCRIBES THE THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS USED TO EVALUATE THE PERFORMANCE OF ROLLING PISTON TYPE COMPRESSOR. THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF REFRIGERANT IN COMPRESSION CHAMBER ARE THEORETICALLY ANALYSED USING SIMPLE THERMODYNAMIC MODEL WHICH CONSISTS OF 3-STEP PROCESSES THAT ARE ADIABATIC COMPRESSION PROCESS, ISOCHORIC HEAT TRANSFER PROCESS AND LEAKAGE PROCESS. THE COEFFICIENTS OF HEAT TRANSFER FOR COMPRESSION PROCESS ARE OBTAINED BY EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OF A SPECIALLY INSTALLED TEST COMPRESSOR.
