PERFORMANCE RESULTS OF SOLAR ABSORPTION COOLING INSTALLATION.
Author(s) : AYYASH S., SURI R. K., SHAMI H. al-
Type of article: Article, IJR article
Summary
THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE A SOLAR ABSORPTION COOLING SYSTEM AND ITS PERFORMANCE FOR AN OFFICE BUILDING. THE SYSTEM USES 300 M2 OF FLAT PLATE COLLECTOR AND AN OIL-FIRED SUPPLEMENTARY THERMAL ENERGY SOURCE. THE SYSTEM PRODUCES MORE THAN 10,000 KILOWHOUR COOLING PER MONTH. THE SOLAR COOLING INSTALLATION SAVES 25-40% PER DAY OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY WHEN COMPARED TO AN EQUIVALENT COOLING CAPACITY CONVENTIONAL COOLING SYSTEM.
