Performance study of the compact solar absorption air-conditioner system without pump.

Author(s) : CONG L., ZHENG H. F., TAO T., et al.

Summary

A new type LiBr absorption solar energy air-conditioner is designed. The experiments and theoretical calculation have been completed. The influence of the solar radiation intensity to some parameters such as the refrigerating capacity and COP under certain operating conditions has been studied. On the basic of practical solar radiation intensity and data of elevating pump steady experiment, the performance curve of the air conditioner under practical weather condition has been given. According to the study results, it is indicated that the system runs steadily with high heat efficiency. When the working temperature is higher than 80°C, its COP could be more than 0.5 and it can be driven by vacuum tube solar collector to actualize the refrigeration or air-condition function.
