Summary
THE PHASE DIAGRAM OF SEVERAL WATER/PEG SYSTEMS HAS BEEN DETERMINED BY A DSC METHOD. TWO THERMAL TRANSITIONS ARE OBSERVED OF WHICH ONE MAY REPRESENT THE EUTECTIC MELTING. THE WATER CONTENT OF THE EUTECTIC MIXTURE IS COMPARED TO THE NUMBER OF WATER MOLECULES NECESSARY FOR THE WHOLE HYDRATION OF PEG.
