Practical experiences with multicompressor refrigeration systems.

Author(s) : FÜRI B.

Summary

Multicompressor or parallel compressor refrigeration systems are equipped with three hermetic or semihermetic compressors operating in parallel to supply a common refrigeration circuit. Refrigeration capacity is automatically matched to the respective refrigeration load by loading and unloading the separate compressors. The motor-compressor devices are most advanced design fitted with energy optimum matched to the given operating conditions. The key component is the suction receiver, which ensures even distribution of the refrigeration suction gas, separation of liquid refrigerant from the refrigeration supply of the lubricating oil to the compressors in accordance with refrigeration capacity demand.
