Summary

IT IS KNOWN THAT THE ANABOLISM OF DNA DECREASES AS CELLS ENTER THE REST OR INHIBITORY STAGE. IT CAN INCREASE, HOWEVER, WHEN CANCER CELLS GROW AND MULTIPLY RAPIDLY AND WHEN DNA SYNTHESIS IS MUCH HIGHER THAN NORMAL CELLS. THE PAPER REPORTS ON EXPERIENCES IN THE TREATMENT OF ANO-RECTAL CARCINOMA WITH CRYOSURGERY. IT HAS BEEN SHOWN THAT CRYOSURGERY HAS AN INHIBITORY EFFECT ON THE MULTIPLICATION OF CANCER CELLS AND THE OCCURRENCE OF IMMUNE REACTION TO CRYOSURGERY.
