Summary

THE FORMATION AND STRUCTURE ARE CONSIDERED OF METAL LAYERS OBTAINED BY CONDENSATION OF MOLECULAR BEAMS ON A SUBSTRATE COOLED DOWN TO LIQUID HELIUM TEMPERATURE. IN THIS CASE A LOT OF METALS AND SEMIMETALS FORM AN AMORPHOUS CONDENSATE. DISCUSSED ARE THE DOMAIN OF THE AMORPHOUS PHASE EXISTENCE (LIMITED BY THE LAYER THICKNESS AND TEMPERATURE), AMORPHIZING EFFECT OF IMPURITIES, COORDINATION STRUCTURE OF AMORPHOUS METALS.
