PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS IN A SINGLE SCREW COMPRESSOR.

Summary

THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE A SYSTEM FOR ANALYSING AND RECORDING PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE IN AN INDUSTRIAL SINGLE SCREW COMPRESSOR. THE VARIABLES IN THE WHOLE COMPRESSION CYCLE ARE ANALYSED FROM SUCTION TO DISCHARGE, THE SYSTEM BEING LOCATED IN A STAR BACKING PLATE. THE PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE CAN BE STUDIED AT ANY LOCATION ON THE STAR BACKING PLATE. THIS PROVIDES THE STUDY OF THESE PARAMETERS NEAR THE STAR TOOTH SURFACE. THE MECHANICAL AND THERMODYNAMIC OPERATING MODE OF THE MACHINE CAN BE INTERPRETED AFTERWARDS.
