Summary

A MAJOR OCCUPANCY-CONTROLLED PARAMETER AFFECTING INTER-ZONAL AIR MOVEMENTS IS THE INTERNAL DOOR. PRESSURE-DRIVEN FLOWS AROUND AN INTERNAL DOOR IN CLOSED AND PARTLY OPEN POSITIONS ARE MEASURED. FOR CLOSED DOORS, THE STRONG INFLUENCE OF UNDER-DOOR CLEARANCE IS OBSERVED, AND THE CRACK FLOW REGIME IS DOM EVEN FOR SMALL OPENINGS OF DOORS, THE TRANSITION TO ORIFICE FLOW IS OBSERVED, GIVING A DISCHARGE COEFFICIENT OF AROUND 0.6.
