PROSIM IS A PROGRAM SYSTEM DESIGNED TO SIMULATE PROCESSES IN REFRIGERATION, HEAT PUMPS AND OTHER PLANT. THE SYSTEM IS BASED ON THE LINEARIZATION OF COMPONENT CHARACTERISTICS ; THE HEAT AND MASS BALANCE CAN BE FOUND EFFICIENTLY. SPECIAL TECHNIQUES ARE USED FOR IMPROVING CONVERGENCE. THE COMPONENTS CAN BE CORRELATED ARBITRARILY.
