Summary

The paper introduces current radiant cooling and heating systems, describes indoor thermal and radiant environments formed using the systems, and discusses their energy efficiency as determined experimentally. In addition, by contrasting the systems with conventional convection-type air conditioning systems the features of radiant cooling and heating systems, as well as problems hindering their practical application, are clarified.
