Rationalization and optimization of heating systems coupled to ground-source heat pumps.

Author(s) : KILKIS B. I.

Summary

An analytical solution for the optimum equipment oversizing and temperature peaking is presented, which is intended to resolve conflicts between heat pumps and high-temperature equipment. Advantages of using low-temperature heating equipment and its impact on energy economy and environment are discussed. An alternative design composition of wind energy assisted ground-source heat pump and hybrid HVAC system is highlighted.
