Summary

ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) is an experimental reactor and the conceptual design has been completed by the united efforts of USA, CIS, EC and Japan. In parallel with the conceptual design, key technology development in various areas has been conducted. The paper describes the overall design concepts and the latest technological achievements of the ITER reactor structure and superconducting magnet system.
