Summary
Direct digital controls directly monitor real-time information (temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.), perform all related decisions, and execute the desired command, such as damper/valve/burner positioning, or start/stop of virtually any mechanical process. The five most important, recent improvements have increased reliability, ease of use, and flexibility. Combined with reduced size and costs, they make direct digital controls destined to become the preferred management tool for a wider range of building types and sizes.
