Set-point and near optimal control for cooling towers.
Author(s) : DE SAULLES T., PEARSON C.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The BSRIA has carried out a series of tests to compare the savings in running costs yielded by reducing condenser water design set-point in cooling towers with those provided by a more complex method of optimisation known as 'near optimal control', a technique used to regulate fan speed in response to system load.
