Summary

A sufficient air flow from the room to outside the building, a sufficient depression compared to the rest of the department and, where applicable, ultraviolet C rays, are the basis of environmental measures for preventing the transmission of tuberculosis in health-care areas. However, these measures are technically complex, costly and require evaluation and maintenance by specialized personnel.
