Reducing vibrations.
Il contenimento della trasmissione di vibrazioni.
Author(s) : CAVALLINI A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
From the design stage of air-conditioning systems (both in the industrial and, even more so, the residential fields), it is fundamental to take all the necessary measures in order to reduce to insignificant levels the vibrations that the potentially active components of the system (mainly machines with moving mechanisms) can transmit to the structure of the building. The most widespread and effective passive solution consists of introducing elastic supports between the system components and the structure supporting them. This article provides sizing principles, makes a list of the most currently used elastic supports and explains how to mount them. Finally it includes a practical guide to choosing the best elastic supports according to the different types of systems.
