Summary
The principles for regulating refrigerated display cabinets have slightly evolved over the past 10 years. If the couple formed by the expansion valve and the regulator is essential, there are several solutions today to regulate display cabinets. Besides traditional thermostatic expansion valves, multi-orifice, electric, or even electronic expansion valves are often found. The duration of the "all or nothing" opening or the opening itself is controlled proportionally upon request. Recently, a solution already used on the American market appeared in France. It consists in adding a proportional valve after the evaporator.
