Summary

A SUITABLE CONTROL SCHEME IS DERIVED TO ACHIEVE HIGH STABILITY OF RELATIVE HUMIDITY. IT IS ARGUED THAT THE INCREASED FLEXIBILITY OFFERED BY DIRECT COMPUTER CONTROL MEANS THAT THE PROPOSED SCHEME CAN BE IMPLEMENTED WITH A MINIMUM OF EFFORT. ALTHOUGH THE PAPER FOCUSSES ON STEAM HUMIDIFIERS IN HVAC SYSTEMS, THE SCHEME MAY BE EQUALLY APPLICABLE TO OTHER MOIST-URE INJECTION METHODS AND TO HIGH-PRECISION HUMIDITY CONTROL IN GENERAL.
