Summary
Based on the reliability theory and the function analysis of central air-conditioning systems (CACs), the authors establish a mathematical model of the system reliability. They analyse the failure modes of each component, construct the fault trees of both CACs and refrigeration system. Then, they find out the main factors causing the refrigerating system failure by the minimal cut set analysis. In conclusion, they propose the measure to improve the reliability of CACs.
