Summary

In the refrigeration technology, it is possible to use natural cooling in many ways. Examples are cooling by means of evaporation, short term (24 hours) storage of heat and cold, long term (seasonal) storage of heat and cold, solar cooling, and the use of radiation to the night sky in "reversed solar collectors". These examples can be used stand-alone to create small temperature differences, but can also be used in combination with conventional cooling technology. These cooling methods are known as "renewable cooling".
