Cold air systems: sleeping giant.
Author(s) : MACCRACKEN C. D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Lower supply air temperatures (7.2 deg C) for air conditioning permit lower mass air flows with smaller fans, ducts and less energy spent on air movement. It is claimed that the greater quantity of moisture removed from the air improves the air quality. Colder air can be obtained with ice-bank thermal storage. Earlier problems of air distribution and duct condensation have been solved. A.R.T.
