The Codex Committee on fresh fruit and vegetables held its sixth session in Mexico City, from January 29 to February 2, 1996. Extract from the table of contents: preliminary code of use for the inspection and certificatoin of quality in fresh fruit and vegetables; applying quality tolerances to imports; intermediary report on the use of objective maturity indices in commercial transactions involving fresh fruit and vegetables; proposals tending to modify the list of fruits and vegetables to be given priority in standardisation.
