Summary
The first part reports on a search for a new working fluid with higher solubility and lower viscosity. A solution of lithium bromide, lithium iodide, lithium chloride and lithium nitrate was selected as the new working fluid. The absorption heat pump using the new working fluid was tested and better results were obtained than with the conventional lithium bromide solution.
