THE PAPER DESCRIBES THE METHOD OF TREATMENT FOR TUBES WITH ALUMINIUM POROUS SURFACES AND EXPERIMENTS REGARDING NUCLEATE BOILING ON POROUS SURFACE. THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT IS 4 TO 5 TIMES HIGHER THAN THAT OF SMOOTH TUBE. AN EMPIRICAL EQUATION FOR INTENSIFIED BOILING ON SINTERED ALUMINIUM POROUS SURFACE IS ESTABLISHED. HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT OF NUCLEATE BOILING BETWEEN TUBE BANKS IS 10-20% GREATER THAN THAT CALCULATED FROM THE EQUATION.
