Author(s) : LI X. P., FAN C. Y.

Summary

This paper discusses the gas removing performance and its properties of activated charcoal component. In this part of experiment, curves were derived under different circumstances and with various types of charcoal components. These curves showed the changing of efficiency with time and the coordinate pressure loss of each case, helped us to choose the most suitable type in household air cleaner — bypass type. And on the other hand, present study also gives the experiment and calculation of charcoal units’ applicability to removing one of the most outstanding indoor air pollution — tobacco smoke, in which subjective assessment method was used. And as a result, its applicability was also verified.
