Summary
In our study, a novel method to dynamically make binary ice by using waste heat was proposed. A system based on this method consists of three parts, in which the heat rejected from the precooling part is applied to drive the other parts so that the performance of the system can be improved. The working principle and feasibility of the present ice making system were analyzed. The simulation results indicate that the system performance with the novel method could increase by more than 30% under the conditions considered.
