Research on condensing and boiling heat transfer in a new plate-fin type condenser-evaporator.

Summary
A new plate-fin type condenser-evaporator based on the theory of thermosiphon two-phase flow in narrow channel has been developed and tested. It has not only a high heat transfer coefficient of condensation and evaporation but also a small temperature difference for heat transfer. The experimental results indicate that if the heat transfer in boiling side can be optimized or matched with the condensing side, the heat transfer performance of the condenser-evaporator would be increased further.
