THE AUTHOR PRESENTS THE RESULTS OF THE DRY COLD STORAGE OF FOUR CARNATION CULTIVARS (WHITE SIM, NORA, YELLOW DUSTY SIM AND SAMANTHA) PICKED AT THE STAGE OF QUITE CLOSED BUD. HE SHOWS THAT, WHEN MEETING STORAGE SPECIFICATIONS, THE LIFETIME IN THE VASE AT THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE IS SATISFACTORY,EVEN AFTER 10 WEEK COLD STORAGE, AND THE DIAMETER OF FLOWERS IS LARGER THAN THAT OF FRESHLY PICKED FLOWERS.
