Summary
New refrigeration systems based on the Stirling cycle have remarkable advantages in energy saving and environment protection because of higher efficiency, using green refrigerant, and large range of cooling temperature compared with conventional vapour compression systems. The research development of Stirling refrigeration technology for commercial application is described, and the prospects of the Stirling refrigeration technology are stated. In addition, the two key technologies of Stirling refrigeration, high capacity Stirling cooler for intermediate lift temperature and heat transfer between the cold end of Stirling cooler and the cooling space are presented respectively.
