THIS PAPER REVIEWS IN DETAIL THE SO CALLED BRONZE PROCESS NOW COMMONLY USED TO PRODUCE COMMERCIALLY MULTIFILAMENTARY A-15 SUPERCONDUCTORS, NAMELY NIOBIUM-TIN AND VANADIUM-GALLIUM WITH GOOD PERFORMANCES. TO CIRCUMVENT THE PROBLEM OF WORK-HARDENING OF THE BRONZE PROCESS SEVERAL VARIATIONS EXIST AND ARE DESCRIBED. COMPOSITES OF NIOBIUM-TIN AND VANADI-RS TCISEB TSUEI. NEW TECHNIQUES FOR FABRICATING SUPERIOR MATERIALS LIKE NIOBIUM-ALUMINIUM, NIOBIUM-GALLIUM, NIOBIUM-GERMANIUM AND NIOBIUM-(ALUMINIUM, GERMANIUM) ALSO SEEM TO BE AT AN ADVANCED STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT. J.
