Summary

STATES THAT THE CHIEF REQUIREMENTS ARE LOW REFRIGERATION LOAD, A SMALL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CONDENSING AND EVAPORATING TEMPERATURES, A HIGH CARNOT EFFICIENCY AND A HIGH EVAPORATIVE TEMPERATURE. AN ADDITIONAL MEASURE IS SUBCOOLING OF THE REFRIGERANT EITHER BY A HEAT EXCHANGER BETWEEN THE LIQUID LINE AND THE SUCTION LINE OR BY A SEPARATE COOLER. NOTES THE USE OF ICE FOR SUBCOOLING. TREATS A METHOD USING THE ICE FORMED ON THE SURFACE OF THE EVAPORATOR, WHICH IS TO BE PATENTED. (INT. BUILD. SERV. ABSTR., GB., 20, N 2, 1985, 25, 85-00618.
