APPLIES A NUMERICAL PROCEDURE FOR SOLVING THE TWO-DIMENSIONAL NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS DESCRIBING THE FLOW IN AN AIR CONDITIONED ROOM USING THE FINITE VOLUMEMETHOD. THE EFFECT OF TURBULENCE IS DESCRIBED BY THE K-EPSILON TURBULENCE MODEL. INVESTIGATES THE RANGE OF INFLUENCE OF THE ARCHIMEDES AND REYNOLDS NUMBERS ON THE AIR VELOCITY AND TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN THE ROOM USING THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION. COMPARES THE NUMERICAL PREDICTION WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA. STATES THE RESULTS OF THE NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS CAN BE USED AS A GUIDE FOR THE PHYSICAL MODELLING OF AIR MOVEMENTS UNDER MORE COMPLEX THERMAL CONDITIONS. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
