Simulation of a floor heating system in an atrium using solar energy.
Author(s) : LI X., OKUMIYA M.
Summary
The paper discusses the distribution of room air temperature, velocity and energy consumption in a typical Japanese atrium using an electric floor heating system with solar cells. Based on indoor uniform temperature distribution, a long-term simulation was carried out to calculate the energy consumption of floor heating in this atrium in winter using the standard meteorological data. As a result, 24.2% of this energy can be supplied by the solar cells (400 m2) on the roof of the building.
