CONTROL AND ANALYSIS OF SOLAR ENERGIZED AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS.

Author(s) : NEWTON A. B.

Summary

BECAUSE OF THE SENSITIVENESS OF THE COLLECTOR ARRAY AND OF THE ABSORPTION UNIT TO AMBIENT AND STORAGE TEMPERATURES, THE PERFORMANCE SHOULD BE ANALYSED ON AN HOURLY BASIS, IN ORDER TO OBTAIN AN ACCURATE PREDICTION. THE AUTHOR PROPOSES A CONTROL PROCEDURE FOR DUAL STORAGE SYSTEMS AND A PROCEDURE FOR THE PREDICTION OF SYSTEM PERFORMANCES, ALLOWING FOR ALL SIGNIFICANT LOSSES (OF PIPING, STORAGE IN ENVIRONMENT). PERFORMANCES OF YEARS CAN BE PREDICTED WITH RELIABILITY AND BE USEFUL FOR THE DETERMINATION OF FAULTY OPERATION. THE SUGGESTED CONTROL PROCEDURE WAS APPLIED SUCCESSFULLY TO COMMERCIAL SOLAR SYSTEMS.
