Simulation of the turboexpander characteristics in off-design mode of operation.

Author(s) : PRITULA V. V., TARAN V. N.

Summary

A computer programmation was carried out in order to simulate turboexpander characteristics. The method of prediction of the characteristics for a prescribed turboexpander and its mathematical model were elaborated at a variation of input temperature and pressure, outlet pressure or rotor of the machine rotation rate. On the basis of the mathematical model, a computer program designed to forecast the turboexpander performances was drawn up. The efficiency of the program was tested on the experimental data for expansion turbines with high, mean and low pressures.
