Summary

Refrigerating plant commonly used in convenience stores comprises cold rooms, refrigerated display units and air conditioning. Most owners give little thought to maintenance because equipment, particularly cold rooms, is often relatively reliable. However, services offered by contractors does not meet all owners' expectations and most owners interviewed had already changed contractors several times.
