A SOLAR ABSORPTION COOLER, FLAT PLATE COLLECTORS, SYSTEM ENGINEERING AND CONTROL STRATEGIES AND SYSTEMS WERE REALISED. A COOLER OF 696 KILOW NOMINAL CAPACITY, 3,000 M2 FLAT PLATE COLLECTORS AND A MICROPROCESSOR BASED CONTROL SYSTEM WERE INSTALLED AT THE HAIM SHEBA MEDICAL CENTER, AT TEL HASHOMER. THE SYSTEM PROVIDING CHILLED WATER IS ONE OF THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD. OPTIMIZING STRATEGIES ARE PRESENTED, SAVING ENERGY COSTS VERSUS INVESTMENT COSTS.
