Summary

R513A has attracted extensive attention due to its good environmental protection characteristics and cycle performance, and is considered for refrigeration systems and organic Rankine cycle (ORC) systems. In this paper, the experimental solubilities of R513A in polyol ester (POE) oil (RL 68H) were measured in the temperature range from 283.15 to 353.15 K and pressure range from 0.13 to 1.82 MPa based on the isochoric saturation method. During the experiment, R513A/POE68 mixture showed good miscibility, and the solution always showed a uniform and transparent state. The results showed that the solubility of R513A in POE68 oil decreased with the increase of temperature, and when the temperature was constant, the solubility increased with the increase of
pressure. Furthermore, the solubility data were correlated using the nonrandom two-liquid (NRTL) equation, the experimental data were in good agreement with the NRTL model.
