Stabilization of atmospheric greenhouse gases: physical, biological and socio-economic implications. IPCC technical paper III./ Stabilisation des gaz atmosphériques à effet de serre : conséquences physiques, biologiques et socio-économiques. Document technique III du GIEC.

Summary

This technical paper is the third paper of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) prepared in response to a request from the United National Framework Convention on Climate Change. Of the greenhouse gases, it focuses on CO2 because it has had, and is projected to have, the largest effect on radiative forcing. The effects of other greenhouse gases as well as the effects of aerosols are also considered and a series of assumptions are made about their potential future emissions. Extract from the table of contents: geophysical implications associated with greenhouse gas stabilization; impacts and mitigation costs associated with stabilizing greenhouse gases.
