Summary
The first extension stage of the refrigeration plant has been commissoned. After having carried out tests with the resonator prototypes and the first mass produced resonators, the first operation experiences with some main components of the refrigeration plant can be reported. Since about one year, are in operation among others the vacuum compressor, a vertical cryostat and a horizontal cryostat. Other components, required for the operation of the linear accelerator TTF-500 MeV are at present in construction or test phase: among others, the first modul cryostat, a six transfer line with a length of 100 m, a distribution box, and connecting transfer lines. The construction of these components and the present state of the art of these plants from DESY are described.
