Summary

THE SUCCESS OF THE STORAGE OF SEED POTATOES DEPENDS ON THE STORAGE TEMPERATURE, THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND VENTILATION. A GRADUAL REDUCTION OF THE TEMPERATURE, AFTER THE BEGINNING OF STORAGE OF THE SEED POTATOES, RESULTS IN TUBERCULES WITH A MORE PROTECTIVE SKIN, WHICH ALLIED WITH THE CORRECT VENTILATION, WILL EXPEL THE EXCESS CO2, THUS AVOIDING SPROUTING AND THE LOSSES FROM DECAY.
