BOTH IMPORTS AND EXPORTS OF FROZEN FRUIT AND VEGETABLES ARE TABULATED AND DISCUSSED, THE MAJOR SUPPLIERS BEING THE EEC COUNTRIES, WITH SMALLER VOLUMES FROM CANADA, THE USA AND ISRAEL. THERE HAS BEENA NOTABLE INCREASE IN IMPORTS, WHEREAS EXPORTS HAVE DECLINED, THE TRADE GAP IN THESE PRODUCTS FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTHS OF 1991 BEING C 35 MILLION COMPARED TO C 27 MILLION FOR THE CORRESPONDING PERIOD IN 1990.
