Summary
Finned-tube exchanges are extensively used in the air conditioning equipment, such as the fan-coils, the evaporator in air conditioners, etc. Very few references in the literature report prediction of the heat transfer coefficient theoretically due to the complex pattern of the air flow over the exchangers. The paper attempts to theoretically predict the heat transfer coefficient using a numerical method in order to provide more information for coil design.
