Summary
The paper reports the effect of collector area, collector flow rate and the storage tank volume on the performance of a solar powered absorption air-conditioning system. The results indicate that there exists an optimum ratio of storage tank volume over collector area, in the present system. The present study also reports that, the thermal performance of a solar system depends on the temperature distribution in the storage tank, which (for a specific tank) is affected mainly by the collector flow rate.
