Study on adsorption properties of a new composite adsorbent SiO2(x)H2O(y)CaCl2-water pair.

Author(s) : LIU Y. F., WANG R. Z.

Summary

In order to find better adsorbent refrigerant for adsorption refrigerating system, a new kind of composite adsorbent is studied. The new composite adsorbent is based on macro-porous silica gel as a host matrix and calcium chloride as a hygroscopic salt. The composite adsorbent can regenerated at 80°C, which is favourable for the application of low temperature heat, such as solar energy and waste heat.
