IN ORDER TO PURSUE THE HIGH PERFORMANCE OF THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE, A COMBINED TYPE OF LATENT-AND SENSIBLE-HEAT THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM IS PROPOSED. ITS PERFORMANCE IS INVESTIGATED EXPERIMENTALLY AND THEORETICALLY. IN COMPARISON WITH THE THEORETICAL ANSWERS AND THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS GIVEN BY PRECEDING REPORT, THE OPTIMUM DESIGN IS DETERMINED IN RELATION TO THE OPERATING CONDITIONS AND PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL.
