Study on energy use by air-conditioning: final report.
Author(s) : ABELA A., HAMILTON L., HITCHIN R., et al.
Type of monograph: Report
Summary
This study - a BRE client report for the Department of Energy & Climate Change - comprises several different elements, each directed at improving DECC’s understanding and characterisation of UK electricity consumption by air conditioning in non-domestic buildings; especially that used to support the cooling function (rather than air handling). These include: analysis of measured consumptions; examination of the contents of air conditioning inspection reports and energy performance certificates; a literature search; and the development of procedures to extend the scope of DECC’s product policy model as applied to air conditioning.
